Upcoming show at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery

Carla’s painting Ajmal; Refugee from Afghanistan will be included in The Outwin: American Portraiture Today the renowned triennial exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery in Washington DC. As stated by the Smithsonian, “With works by nearly 50 of the most compelling contemporary artists The Outwin 2019 will present artworks that challenge the definition of portraiture and respond to important topics of our time.” The show will open to the public on Saturday October 26th and will be on view through Aug 30th, 2020.
