Painting Acquired into the Permanent Collection at the Butler Institute of American Art

Carla’s painting, Ajmal, a portrait of the translator who risked his life working with US troops in his native Afghanistan, was acquired by the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio. The Butler was the first museum dedicated exclusively to American Art and it’s collection includes paintings by Mary Cassatt, Albert Bierstadt, Georgia O’Keefe, Jackson Pollock and Winslow Homer among others.
